When it comes to premium golf balls, there are a few brands that immediately rise to the top. Titleist and Taylormade are a couple that come to mind and there’s no question they make some of the best balls in the game. But Callaway is without a doubt part of the conversation as well.

Perhaps what sets Callaway apart from the other two though, is that they not only make great balls for the better player, but equally as good balls for the average golfer.

Amongst the latter, it’s Callaway’s Supersoft golf ball that reigns supreme.

This ball has a lot of cool stuff going for it, and there’s a good chance it might be a good bet for your game. Keep reading to find out why.

Key Features

HyperElastic FastSoft core increases ball speed and affords soft feel.

Hybrid cover optimizes short club performance.

Hex dimple pattern improves aerodynamic characteristics.

Design and Technology

Callaway is one of the most innovative golf ball manufacturers in the game. So it should come as no surprise that the Supersoft is jam packed with tech and design features that are sure to help you play your best.

The story is told from the inside out with this golf ball. And by that we mean it starts with the core. HyperElastic FastSoft is a mouthful, but that’s because the Supersoft’s core has so much going on.

Its elastic properties give golfers explosive ball speeds with their long clubs. That equates to maximum distance. At the same time, the core’s soft characteristics provide optimum feel on short shots.

The Supersoft’s cover functions in much the same way as its core. The cover is soft enough to give golfers plenty of control with their wedges, pitches, and chips. It’s also firm and durable enough that it allows golfers to achieve maximum distance.

Callaway’s patented Hex dimple pattern has also proven to be aerodynamically superior to its competitors.

In short, the Callaway Supersoft gives you the best of both worlds in terms of both distance and control.

Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls

The Callaway Supersoft Golf Ball is a highly popular choice among golfers, renowned for its exceptional softness, impressive distance, and affordability. Designed with a two-piece construction featuring a low-compression core and a hybrid cover, this ball aims to deliver a soft feel and long, straight shots off the tee. With its advanced technologies, including the HyperElastic SoftFast Core and the aerodynamic HEX pattern, the Supersoft is tailored to provide consistent performance across various swing speeds, making it particularly suitable for beginners and high handicappers.

PROS

  • The Supersoft is one of the most technologically advanced balls in the game.
  • HyperElastic FastSoft core delivers both distance and feel.
  • Variety of colors gives golfers plenty of choices to choose from.

CONS

  • Price point is slightly higher than other balls in the same class.
  • May not be the best ball for players with faster swing speeds.
  • Availability can vary depending on the retailer.

Our Experience

As an average (at best) golfer like most of our readers, I’ve played a lot of rounds with a lot of different golf balls.

The Callaway Supersoft is one of my favorites. Compared to other, similar balls, I really like this ball’s soft feel on and around the green. Other balls in this class tend to be hard, and lack the control I need on short shots.

At the same time, the Supersoft gives me plenty of distance off the tee. Is it as long as a Top Flite or Pinnacle? No. But it’s plenty long enough and gives me the performance I need throughout my entire bag.
