The way in which we practice golf has changed a lot over the years. It used to be that practice involved hitting balls  until your hands bled, working on a specific feeling, sensation, or move. The only feedback you had was how contact felt and what ball  flight told you.

That was then and this is now. Thanks to cameras and launch monitors, you’re now able to get real time feedback on what’s going on with your swing.

For most people, that involves employing their smartphone. The only trouble is getting your phone positioned in a spot where you can capture your entire swing from the angle you want. Unless you have a partner to hold your phone for you, this can be a challenge.

Thanks to the good folks at iRange Sports, this worry is no longer. The iRange Sports Stick EXT allows you to secure your phone wherever you want.

Key Features

Extends up to 46” and can be adjusted to any height.

Weighs less than a sand wedge and stores easily inside your golf bag.

No setup required.

Design and Technology

The iRange Sports Stick EXT is simple in its design.

The materials are lightweight, yet durable. This training aid was meant to stand up both to the elements and father time.

On top of the Stick is a thin metal plate with 3M adhesive. Your phone will stay put to this attachment no matter what.

Even though the Sports Stick EXT can extend to the length of your driver, it can be adjusted to any length you desire. So, no matter if you’re working on your full swing from down the line or want to get a worm’s eye view of your putting stroke, the Sports Stick EXT is there by your side.

The game of golf is littered with training aids that all promise to make you better. But there aren’t that many that make the process of practicing easier. The iRange Sports Stick EXT is designed to do just that. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been playing for decades or just a few weeks.

The Sports Stick EXT can be used by anyone to capture their swing in real time. At the very least, this training device will make your practice easier and more enjoyable. At best, it will quicken your process of getting better and allow you to have more fun out on the course.

PROS

  • Simple design allows for easy set up and storage.
  • Modest price point makes the Sports Stick EXT one of the more affordable training aids on the market.
  • Height is easily adjustable allowing you to capture video from any position.

CONS

  • Can be difficult to use on hard or frozen ground.
  • 3M adhesive may need to be replaced over time.
  • Does not come with a charging outlet, so your phone needs to be charged before use.

Our Experience

I don’t get to practice as much as I’d like, but when I do, I always have the iRange Sports Stick EXT with me.

What I love most about this device is how easy it is to use. Instead of having to waste precious time trying to position my phone just right, I just put it on the stick and go.

I’ve enjoyed using the Sports Stick EXT indoors too. In between meetings at work, it’s easy to set up my camera on the collapsible indoor stand and groove my putting stroke.

Simple, efficient, and a great value, there’s really no excuse not to get this Sports Stick EXT for yourself.
