When I first saw a L.A.B. Golf Putter, I thought it was one of the strangest looking putters I’d ever seen. The oversize mallet head looked like something more akin to the Starship Enterprise than a golf club.
With that being said, I was curious to find out more, and I’m glad I did.
L.A.B. Golf was started by a former mini tour named Bill Presse, who wanted to design a putter that allowed him to drastically simplify his putting stroke. Fast forward to today, and Lie Angle Balance Golf makes some of the most forgiving putters on the market.
In today’s review, we’re going to take a close look at the Directed Force 2.1.
Lie Angle Balance design feature allows golfers to repeat their stroke consistently.
Elimination of torque during the stroke increases stability and promotes consistency.
Extremely high MOI creates untold forgiveness on off-center strikes.
There was no shortage of thought and testing that into the design of the Directed Force 2.1.
To start, the Lie Angle Balance concept is the first of its kind and truly does allow golfers to more consistently repeat their stroke. That’s because it eliminates so many extra variables that are all too common with normal putters.
A lot of putter manufacturers ignore the all too important aspect of putter shafts. Studies show that the stiffer the shaft, the more consistent the ball comes off the club face. The design team at L.A.B. Golf has spent countless hours researching the most efficient putter shafts and has narrowed it down to a handful that perform the best.
Lastly, the Directed Force 2.1 is one of the lowest torque putters on the market. That means less face rotation through impact, and putts that come off rolling on their intended line time after time.
The L.A.B. Golf Directed Force 2.1 Putter is a revolutionary golfing tool designed to simplify the putting stroke by eliminating torque, ensuring a consistent and square putter face at impact. Developed by L.A.B. Golf, this putter features Lie Angle Balance technology, which removes the need for adjustments during the stroke, allowing golfers to achieve more consistent results. With its unique design and innovative technology, the Directed Force 2.1 aims to provide golfers with improved distance control and accuracy, particularly from longer ranges.
