Serious golfers consider Ping Hoofer bags some of the most timeless and iconic ever made. For decades they’ve stood out from the competition for their distinctive design, style, and functionality.
The all-new Hoofer Lite bag just might be the best Ping has ever made.
I recently got my hands on the new Hoofer Lite and absolutely fell in love. Not only is this bag super functional and comfortable to carry, it’s packed with new and improved features that make it efficient to use out on the course.
The Hoofer Lite is the subject of today’s review, and we’ve got a lot to talk about. So, stick around until the end to see all the great things this bag has going for it.
Redesigned bottom provides increases stability and lessens the likelihood of clubs becoming tangled.
Stacked pocket configuration makes for easy organization and access.
All-new four-way divider top keeps your clubs organized and protected.
The first thing that stands out to me with the Ping Hoofer Lite golf bag is its stacked pocket configuration. Older Hoofer bags were a little on the bulky side with pockets that sat laterally to each other. The all-new Hoofer Lite’s pockets are stacked on top of each other. This not only allows for easy access and organization, but it reduces the overall profile size of the bag too.
A new back pack strap system is incredibly easy to adjust to your preferred level of comfort. It’s also easy to convert the bag from a double to single strap carry bag.
The top of the bag has been redesigned as well. It now features four-way configuration and an ergonomic carry handle. This design keeps your clubs organized and allows you to pick the bag up and set it down with minimal effort.
The kickstand legs have received an upgrade. They’re coated with a scratch-resistant protective that not only keeps them looking like new, but ensures their structural integrity as well.
The ball pocket on the Hoofer Lite is considerably larger than it was on previous models. This allows you to store more gear without having to worry about it spilling out of the sides when you open the pocket.
Like I said, there’s nothing particularly flashy about the Hoofer Lite, but its design is extremely well thought out and is an improvement over past iterations.
Ping Hoofer golf bags have been the choice of serious golfers for years. Considering the upgrades and improvements from previous models, there’s little doubt that trend will continue in the future.
If you’re looking for an iconic, reliable stand bag that’s guaranteed to deliver on all fronts, the Ping Hoofer Lite is it.
PROS
New and improved stacked pocket design reduces the bag’s overall profile and weight.
Upgraded divider top and bottom keep clubs from tangling and allows for easy organization.
A plethora of different color and design options give golfers plenty of choices.
CONS
Having tried the Ping Hoofer Lite golf bag for myself, I can say without a shred of doubt that it’s my new favorite stand bag. While I was always a fan of the previous Hoofer designs, this one is sleeker and has improved features that make it more functional.
I’m also impressed with the Hoofer Lite’s durability and structural strength. As we’ve come to expect from Ping, the material, seams, and zippers are all built to last from the finest materials.
