I remember when Super Stroke putting grips first came out. They were something of an oddity at the time because they were so big.

Fast forward nearly two decades, and they’re arguably the most popular putting grips out there. Everyone from tour players, to weekend warriors like you and I have come to realize the benefits their grips bring to our putting.

The newest release is the Zenergy family of putting grips.

These grips are part of the greater Super Stroke Tour Series that have proven widely popular.

Let’s take a closer look at what makes these grips so desirable.

Key Features

Enhanced Spyne Technology features a ridge on the underside of the grip to promote a square putter face at impact.

Multi-zone texturing in high-sensory areas optimizes feedback and comfort throughout the stroke.

No-taper profile limits hand movement during the stroke for a more repeatable motion.

Design and Technology

When we talk about golf grips, there isn’t usually a whole lot to be said about technology. That’s anything but the case with Super Stroke Zenergy putting grips.

It starts with Enhanced Spyne Technology. This is all about the new and improved embossed ridge that sits on the underside of the grip. The feature limits hand movement at impact to ensure the putter face stays square.

Next on the list is multi-zone texturing that improves feel in sensitive areas of your hand to maximize feel and feedback.

No-taper design also works to limit small muscle movement throughout the stroke for a simple motion you can rely on when the pressure’s on.

Super Stroke Zenergy grips also have a tech port in the butt end that allows players to install a counterweight for improved putter balance, or a performance tracking sensor.

Suffice it to say, the smart folks at Super Stroke thought of just about everything when they conjured up the Zenergy putter grip.

Super Stroke Zenergy Putting Grips

There’s no question that Super Stroke leads the way when it comes to putter grips. More golfers worldwide use their grips than any other. And it’s with good reason.

The company has a proven track record of producing grips that help golfers of all abilities make more consistent strokes and hole more putts. The Super Stroke Zenergy grip is no exception. If you haven’t tried this new grip from leading putting grip company, you just might want to. Chances are you won’t go back.

PROS

  • Non-taper design eliminates hand movement during the putting stroke.

  • Multi-zone texturing improves feel and responsiveness.

  • Wide array of sizes and colors suit most any golfer.

CONS

  • Oversize design takes some getting used to and may not be preferrable for all golfers.
  • Price point is higher than other grips.
  • Some players report having trouble controlling distance when they switch to this grip.

Our Experience

When Super Stroke first came out with their oversized grips, I was a little skeptical. But after a lot of the guys in my group made the switch and started taking my money, I had to give one a try for myself.

Ever since I threw a Super Stroke grip on my putter years ago, I haven’t deviated.

Having tried the new Zenergy putter grip, I’ve noticed a big difference in my putting. Thanks to improved technological and design features, the putter feels more stable in my hands and I have a lot more feel.

While it’s still taking some getting used to, I’m making more putts than I have for a long time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes are available for the Super Stroke Zenergy putting grips?

The Super Stroke Zenergy putting grips are available in multiple sizes to suit different preferences. The Tour Series, for example, comes in four sizes: Tour 1.0, Tour 2.0, Tour 3.0, and Tour 5.0. Each size offers a different diameter and feel, allowing golfers to choose the one that best fits their putting style and hand size.

Are Super Stroke Zenergy grips compatible with CounterCore technology?

Yes, most Super Stroke Zenergy grips are compatible with CounterCore weight technology. Any SuperStroke grip with a Tech Port in the butt end can accommodate CounterCore weights, which allow golfers to adjust the balance of their putter. However, it's worth noting that the Tour 1.0 Putter Grip does not come with a Tech-Port and is not CounterCore equipped.

What are the key features of the Super Stroke Zenergy putting grips?

Super Stroke Zenergy putting grips feature several innovative technologies:

  • Multi-layer construction with a soft, tacky outer layer and firm rubber inner core
  • Spyne+ Technology with a ridge down the underside for improved face squaring
  • Multi-Zone Texturing for enhanced feedback and comfort
  • No Taper Technology to encourage minimal grip pressure
These features are designed to offer improved grip, stability, feedback, and consistency in your putting stroke.

How often should I replace my Super Stroke Zenergy putting grip?

It is generally recommended to replace golf grips, including putter grips, every 40 to 60 rounds of golf or once a year, whichever comes first. However, this can vary depending on how frequently you play, how you store your clubs, and other factors that affect grip condition. Regular inspection of your grip's tackiness and overall condition can help determine when it's time for a replacement.

Can I install Super Stroke Zenergy putting grips myself?

Yes, you can install Super Stroke Zenergy putting grips yourself. SuperStroke provides instructions and recommends using one piece of double-sided grip tape regardless of the grip size. They also offer video tutorials on their website for step-by-step guidance. However, if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, many golf shops and pro shops offer grip installation services.

Conclusion

There’s no question that Super Stroke leads the way when it comes to putter grips. More golfers worldwide use their grips than any other.

And it’s with good reason. The company has a proven track record of producing grips that help golfers of all abilities make more consistent strokes and hole more putts.

The Super Stroke Zenergy grip is no exception. If you haven’t tried this new grip from leading putting grip company, you just might want to. Chances are you won’t go back.
