True Linkswear OG Premium Review

Full grain leather, waterproof construction, forever cushioned inserts, and microsuede combines to build a fantastic walking experience for golfers in diverse weather conditions. Players that need to get to the course no matter what the forecast looks like will love the fit and feel of the OG Premium golf shoes.

Our Experience

Having already tested the TRUE Knit golf shoes from TRUE Linkswear, my expectations of the OG Premium shoes were high. The TRUE Knits have become my go-to shoes for testing and playing ever since they arrived. The only problem, the TRUE Knits are not waterproof. Enter the OG Premiums as the perfect option for early morning rounds or testing and play during or after rain. Heading into fall and winter, the OG Premium shoes could not be better and I’m looking forward to the versatility they provide.

The OG Premium shoes are beautiful full leather constructions but look nothing like the traditional golf oxford. They stand out in terms of comfort and fit more than any other waterproof golf shoe I have ever worn. As shoes become more reinforced with protective materials, they often become heavy. Heavy golf shoes are bad for everyone and can place unnecessary stress on you and your body during your practice and play. The team at TRUE continue to impress me with their ability to put together a complete golf shoes that delivers on all their promises of comfort, fit, feel, and off-course versatility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are These Shoes Suitable for Wide Feet or Do They Run Narrow?

Can the Shoes Be Worn in Wet or Rainy Conditions Without Compromising Traction?

When it’s wet out, these shoes hold up well. Their waterproofing keeps my feet dry and the traction in wet conditions is impressive. I’ve never slipped, even on rainy days.

How Do the Shoes Perform in Terms of Stability and Support During a Swing?

During my performance evaluation, these shoes provided exceptional swing stability. The arch support and traction maintenance were top-notch. I felt confident in my swing, and the shoes held up well.

Is There a Break-In Period Required for These Shoes, or Are They Comfortable Right Out of the Box?

No break-in period needed for these shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. Sizing options are good, and the material quality is top-notch. I’m impressed by how comfy and ready-to-wear they are.

Are There Any Specific Care Instructions for Maintaining the Quality and Longevity of These Shoes?

I’ve found that regular cleaning and air-drying after each use helps maintain the quality and longevity of my shoes. It’s kept the comfortable fit and traction in wet conditions intact, making them perfect for golf.

Conclusion

A singular pair of golf shoes is very unlikely to help improve your games of golf by themselves, however, having the wrong footwear will absolutely have a negative impact on your performance. Being comfortable on the course is essential for playing your best and continuing to enjoy the game of golf. TRUE Linkswear continue to expand their offering of products and the OG Premium is an outstanding option in the lightweight, waterproof space. Players that can only afford one pair of golf shoes get added versatility by going with a more comfortable but rain-resistant offering like the OG Premiums.
