If you’re a regular reader of our reviews, you know that we’re big fans of Vessel golf bags. We have a great relationship with the brand and can’t say enough good things about the top-quality products they continually turn out. And guess what, we just received another one! This time around, we’re reviewing the Vessel VLX stand bag.

Key Features

Patented Rotator base provides ultimate stability so setting the bag down on uneven lies is never an issue.

Weight of 4.65 pounds makes carrying the bag easy and helps you conserve energy throughout the round.

Tour-grade synthetic leather is durable, weather resistant, and easy to clean.

Design and Technology

There’s no shortage of modern, functional design work and technology in the VLX stand bag. To start, the bag is constructed of the very best synthetic leather that has proven time and again that it can stand up to just about anything you throw at it. You won’t ever have to worry about frays or tears in the seams.

The Rotator Stand System gives the bag maximum stability, so you never have to worry about it falling over when you set it down. The patented Equilibrium 2.0 Double Strap has been thoroughly tested and is easy to adjust for the perfect fit. Saddle bag pockets and a sizable ball pouch give you ample room to store all your necessary gear. Even better, the insulated magnetic bottle sleeve keeps your beverage of choice chilled the entire round.

Vessel knows that golfers take a lot of pride in their equipment. That’s why they’ve made available the upgrade of custom personalization embroidery on the ball pocket and side pockets. There’s an upcharge for this feature but it’s well worth it. Little things go a long way when it comes to golf bag functionality and that’s reflected in the top-grade waterproof zippers, umbrella holder, bottle opener, magnetic rangefinder pocket, and matching rain cover. The VLX stand bag truly has it all.

Our Experience

I’ve received a few bags from Vessel and have been over the moon impressed by every single one. The VLX stand bag is no exception. I recently took the bag out for a test drive at my local muni on an abnormally warm day. Usually, I’d get a cart when it’s that hot, but I wanted to put both myself and the VLX stand bag to the test…

For 18 holes, I hardly knew the bag was on my back. It’s incredibly lightweight and as I trapsed over hills and through the trees (where I spent a good portion of my round), nothing ever came loose and my water bottle was as ice-cold at the end of the round as when I started. I’ll definitely use this bag anytime I plan on walking in the future.
