Cleveland CBX Wedge Review

The Cleveland CBX Wedge is designed to make every shot from around the greens all the way into short approach shots. The design features begin with a cavity-back style clubhead. At address, the clubhead looks similar to a standard cavity-back 9-iron or pitching wedge. This seamless transition creates confidence that a high-quality wedge like the Cleveland CBX will perform like your favorite short irons. The weighting in the Cleveland CBX wedge is similar to most game improvement irons, with more weight moved towards the toe than standard Tour-style wedges. The extra weight in the toe creates maximum forgiveness around all points of the clubface.

The transition is not only in the design, but also in the weight. Most Tour-style wedges have weights that are much heavier than conventional cavity-back irons. The wide gap in weight from irons to wedges can throw off your feel, leading to inconsistency.
