The Taylormade AeroBurner Driver offers incredible  distance  and  forgiveness  regardless of a player’s handicap or skill level. One of the core theories in golf is that in order to obtain greater distance one must achieve faster club speed. Now there are a few ways to go about doing this, including reducing the weight of the club, having a longer  shaft , or by having a more aerodynamic club head. TaylorMade has combined all three of these requirements when designing the AeroBurner Driver. Designed with an advanced aerodynamic shape, a raised center crown and hosel fin, and a new and improved Speed Pocket, the Taylormade AeroBurner Driver is truly one of the fastest and most aerodynamic  drivers  on the market today.

Since it was first released in late 2014, the Taylormade AeroBurner Driver has become a top choice of many golf professionals on the tour. Including Dustin Johnson who won the 2015 WGC Cadillac Championship at Doral using his AeroBurner Driver. So why would Johnson use the Taylormade AeroBurner Driver instead of a fully adjustable driver . Well it’s quite simple really, by using the Taylormade AeroBurner Driver Johnson is able to generate a higher amount of swing speed (over 120 miles per hour) which helps to create an optimum launch angle and a lower spin . So in other words, Johnson is able to create the perfect swing, and it must be working since Johnson leads the tour in driving distance, and hits over 30 yards further than the average. The TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver is a low cost driver that was built for speed, perfect for any player on a budget looking to improve their performance on the tee box.

Key Features

The TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver comes with an advance 460cc club head, raised center crown, a new hosel fin and a rounder toe. This new aerodynamic shape not only reduces drag but combined with a low center of gravity produces straight and high trajectory shots that really go the distance.

The TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver is a very forgiving club that helps to turn slices into fades and hooks into draws through the help of the all-new Speed Pocket design. The Speed Pocket was created to help reduce spin, and to increase the size of the sweet spot on the club.

The TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver is a super lightweight club that can provide some serious hang time and is perfect for the player having a hard time getting the ball up in the air.

Design and Technology

The TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver is a great club that is lightweight, forgiving, and designed to provide a high amount of speed, making it the perfect combination for players wanting to get greater distance off of the tee.

The Taylormade AeroBurner Driver truly incorporates the very best in technology and design. While it may look unassuming the AeroBurner boasts subtle yet very significant aerodynamic upgrades that ultimately help players create faster clubhead speeds. These upgrades are brought about by an advanced aerodynamic clubhead shape, raised center crown, and hosel fin. By working in unison, the AeroBurner can increase clubhead speed by reducing the overall drag of the club. Furthermore, the AeroBurner’s Open Channel Speed Pocket is designed to reduce spin and increase the size of the sweet spot on the club. By having an increased sweet spot it allows for an increased ball speed across the entire club face, which in turn allows for more forgiveness on off-center hits.

Taylormade AeroBurner Driver

TaylorMade AeroBurner Black Driver is advanced 460cc aerodynamic shape. This design not only looks sleek, but it also enhances clubhead speed, allowing me to generate incredible distance off the tee.

And speaking of distance, the new speed pocket feature on the AeroBurner Black Driver is a game-changer. It increases the sweet spot size and reduces spin, resulting in longer, straighter shots.

PROS

  • Large sweet spot that helps to reduce sidespin and alleviate slices and hooks
  • Excellent balance of weight makes the club easier to swing
  • Very forgiving driver that allows for better performance

CONS

  • The lack of adjustability can be a turn off to some players that want customization
  • The launch angle can be a little too steep
  • Some players may find it too light to control the club

Our Experience

The TaylorMade AeroBurner Driver impresses with its combination of speed, forgiveness, and striking design. During our testing, we consistently achieved drives over 220 yards with a straight trajectory. The driver’s lightweight feel and aerodynamic design contribute significantly to its performance, making it easy to swing faster and generate more distance.

The AeroBurner features a larger and deeper Speed Pocket, which enhances ball speed on off-center hits, adding to its forgiving nature. The sound at impact is a satisfying blend of a lively crack and a solid thump, making each drive enjoyable. The driver’s white crown and red accents provide a bold aesthetic that stands out on the course.

However, the lack of adjustability might be a downside for some players, particularly those with higher swing speeds who may find the standard setup too light. For such players, the TP version offers a heavier shaft and a flatter lie angle, albeit at a higher price.

Overall, the AeroBurner is an excellent choice for golfers with medium to low swing speeds who prioritize speed and forgiveness in their driver. It’s a fun club to hit and delivers on its promise of increased distance and ease of use.
