The Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge is one of the best wedges available today. An upgrade from the Vokey SM6, the Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge made the Golf Digest Hot List for 2018 and received its highest rating of Gold. Bob Vokey, the man behind the wedges that bear his name, always finds a way to improve on what have been some of the best wedges in the world. The SM7 Wedge is no different. If you are searching for a great wedge that delivers the best in distance control, spin, and versatility, then the Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge could be the perfect club for your game.

Key Features

The Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge utilizes Progressive Center of Gravity. Each loft and grind—all 23 of them—has a center of gravity placement designed to produce the ultimate in feel and control.

Spin Milled grooves and the parallel face texture of the Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge creates more consistency and maximum spin.

Six different grind options are available for the Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge, each ideal for a variety of shots and for different angles of attack.

Design and Technology

The Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge’s design makes it easy for golfers of all skill levels to be more consistent from around the green as well as from 100 yards and closer. Progressive Center of Gravity is used to place the COG in a position that helps each club perform its best depending on the circumstance. Lower lofted wedges have lower centers of gravity, ideal for full shots from the fairway and light rough.  Sand wedges  have a center of gravity near the sweet spot, which helps improve feel when hitting behind the ball. Lastly,  lob wedges  have centers of gravity towards the upper toe, giving golfers more forgiveness with flop and high pitch shots.

The Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge, just like the SM6, features six different sole grinds: D-Grind, F-Grind, K-Grind, L-Grind, M-Grind and S-Grind. The F-Grind is completely neutral and works well with any swing. The K-Grind has the highest bounce and is the most forgiving in the bunker. The L- and M-Grinds are perfect for shallow and neutral swing planes, along with firm conditions like tight fairway lies and firm sand. The D- and S-Grinds are ideal for steeper swing planes and soft conditions, like thick or wet rough and heavy sand.

Finally, the Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge implements varied groove patterns depending on the loft. For example, lower lofted wedges have narrow, deep grooves to limit spin on full shots, and the higher lofted clubs feature wider grooves for improved spin on shorter swings. No matter what, the Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge has a loft/bounce grind combination that will make you a better player.
